Wind Rose, which is another term for a compass rose, was carefully chosen as the name of our school because we believe that it perfectly symbolizes the importance of helping our students navigate through life.

In looking at a sailing ship it is often easy to become distracted by its beautiful buoyant sails, but it is important to remember that the hull and helm, as well as other parts of the ship are equally important in ensuring that a vessel reaches its destination. Wind Rose Academy is committed to ensuring not only that a student has the sturdy sails of strong academic expectations, but also that they are given a protective hull of social and emotional teaching.
